1. What, When & Where is the Event?

The 4th QCIM will be held on Saturday, November 29. Assembly for runners is at 7:30PM. This is the first time that we will be having a night run since the Quezon City government started the QCIM in 2010.

2. When is the starting and closing date for registration?

You can register starting Tuesday, September 16, 2014 until supplies last via credit card or Paypal at our official website. Prepaid cards and SM tickets registration will be open on September 25, 2014. All details could be found at the Race Info tab of our official website. (here).

3. What is the age limit?

There is no age limit in all four categories

4. How much is the registration fee?

Regristation fee depends on the race category. Below are the rates that apply to each category:

3K PhP 650
5K PhP 750
10K PhP 850
21K PhP 950

5. Is this a timed event?

Yes it is a timed event. There will be an RFID tag for all the registrants when you claim your kit.


6. What do I get when I register?

Every registrant is entitled to the following:

  • QCIM 2014 Singlet
  • Race Bib w/ RFID timing tag
  • Special LED baller
  • Finisher shirt (For 21K finishers only)
  • Medal (For ALL categories)
  • Freebies from sponsors

7. How do I claim my race kit?

We will be having race kit claiming days from November 20-23. You will need to present your confirmation email (print out) and one (1) valid ID. This should be a government-issued ID.

8. When can I claim my kit?

Tentative schedule for release of kits is from November 20 to 23, 2014. Venue to be announced.

9. Can someone else claim my kit for me?

If you are claiming for someone else, you will need to bring their confirmation email, one (1) valid ID of registrant and authorization letter (found on website).

10. What is your refund policy?

The QCIM has a NO REFUND policy.

11. Do you do kit delivery?

Sorry, but we do not deliver kits. However, we urge you to collect your race kits at designated venues. Announcement of the venue shall be made in this website.


12. What time does the run start?

Assembly is at 7:30PM.

13. Where are the designated parking slots?

We will be opening the Quezon City Hall for parking. You will need to take the underpass to get to the activity area venue. Quezon Memorial Circle will also be open for parking for early comers.

14. Is there a baggage counter?

Yes, there are baggage counters for each category.

15. Will there be an after-party?

The race shall end at the 2nd Christmas Lights and Sound in Quezon Memorial Circle. The Christmas Lights and Sound is an annual Christmas event organized by the Quezon City Government. Awards for race winners shall be given during this said event.

16. How will winners be honored in the race?

There will be two (2) categories for the race –Open & Closed. Open category is for non-QC residents while the Closed category are for QC residents only. There will be cash prizes for winners. Details are in the race info tab of our official website.

17. Aside from a medal, what do 21K finishers get?

21K finishers shall also receive an exclusively designed Finisher shirt.

18. What measures have been taken to ensure the safety of race participants?

First-aid tents, ambulances, water stations, and required safety procedures have been set up to service all race participants.

19. Where do we find race results & photos of the event?

Everything shall be uploaded on www.qcimrun.com.

20. What is the overall objective of the 2014 QCIM?

The 4th QCIM hopes to raise the awareness and level of involvement of Quezon City residents on urgent social concerns by launching public information campaigns on select social concerns. For this year, the campaigns are on CLIMATE CHANGE ADAPTATION and HIV-AIDS PREVENTION. We have as campaign partners the Department of Environment and Natural Resouces (DENR) and the AIDS Society of the Philippines.
